About Ana Maria Restrepo Gutierrez
Ana Maria Restrepo Gutierrez , the visionary behind AMARPO , has been passionate about design since the age of 10. After studying fashion in Europe and working with prestigious brands such as Ralph & Russo, Erdem, and Alexander McQueen, Ana returned to Colombia to bring her creative dreams to life.
A graduate of the London College of Fashion and an award-winner at the Texprint Creativity Awards, Ana is a self-described "color fanatic" and an expert in embroidery and embellishment. Her work has been seen on runways, on the red carpet, in Vogue and on stage at the Oscars.
And she is also a renowned teacher on Domestika, where she shares her expertise in embroidery and embellishment.
What We Do

How We Make It
Our creations typically start with the Irish Machine, a unique embroidery tool that requires the embroiderer to manipulate the textile with their hands, control the needle's speed with their foot, and moderate the stitch length with their knee. With practice, this machine becomes an extension of the embroiderer, allowing for refined color blending and intricate designs perfect for creating florals, fauna, feathers, shading, vibrancy, and drama.
In addition to the Irish Machine, we incorporate lace appliqué, fringing, beading, and hand embroidery techniques. Our team of dedicated artisans specializes in these areas, drawing on their collective talent to bring your vision to life. Everything is crafted with the finest threads and materials in our Colombian studio before being sent to clients around the globe.
